Postpartum Massage

WHAT IS POSTPARTUM MASSAGE?

Your body does things you never imagined when you give birth. A Postpartum massage provides soothing relief for all your tired muscles while concentrating on the muscles that your body used, as well as helping to bring the hips back together.  Massage in the weeks following delivery can:

  • Increase circulation

  • Reduce swelling and edema

  • Restoring muscle tone in the abdomen

  • Re-positioning the pelvis

  • Promote healthy hormone regulation

  • Better sleep

  • Improved breastfeeding

More advanced therapy helps restore your body to its pre-pregnancy condition, speeds healing and assists with C-section recovery.  Postpartum massage has been shown to be effective for a quicker recovery and better health. Integration of maternal bodywork may add welcome value to your healing journey and transition to motherhood.

You can receive postpartum massage as soon as you are ready for the work to be done!  Be sure to ask about Infant Massage Classes and other therapies that can help both new moms and babies such as Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation Therapy.
